Down the road

Down the road

So many poems left on the way
Paintings and songs forgotten
Doesn't matter
All we got is now.

Museums, walls, libraries
Once upon a time they were
Taxes for the rich
Culture and yogourt.

Don't get me wrong
I love the arts
But most of all
It's Art I enjoy
Life we call it.

So down the road
When you meet a river
Sit and listen to the song she makes
Hear the wind echoing the ever present now.

It's a kind of quiet
Where you know your mumble jumbles don't matter no more
Listen my friend to the silence we made
You and I, alone we were
So many forms we took.

Another road, another koan
Let it go, let it all go
Alone or all one
Love one, one love, love none
We'll meet again, down the road.
